Portugal received once again the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) or World Championship in 2009.

Exactly 10 years after the Championship took place in Coimbra, it returned to Lusitania, taking place in Figueira da Foz.
Silvestre Festas, with its history linked to various sporting activities, particularly motorcycling, this time supported a huge project of national interest.
